You might bring a change of clothes for the end of the ride so that you're not waiting for the ferry in wet clothing. Wear layers and be prepared for rain and wind. Infinity Cyclery is along the route for the longest two options. They can assist with most common mechanical issues. Mechanics Doc's Bike Repair are posted at the Kingston start line. Outriders are volunteers in white, green, and black jerseys that ride on the route, assisting you with minor mechanical and minor medical issues, like cuts and scrapes, dispensing advice and directions, and helping you to Ride S.M.A.R.T. You should always call 911 in a life-threatening emergency. SAG vehicles can transport you and most models of bikes in the event of a mechanical or minor medical event. Support and gear (SAG) vehicles are present on the route and dispatched when you call the ride support hotline. This ride is supported by Cascade staff and volunteers, local community group volunteers. The Kitsap Peninsula boasts camping spots, cottages, hotels, and resorts. Fare includes energy bars, chips, nuts, and fruit. You can purchase this in advance as an add-on during registration. Official ferry times are: 8:50 a.m., 9:35 a.m. If you did not select Edmonds as your start line, you will need to purchase your fare separately.įerries from Edmonds to Kingston depart from Edmonds Ferry Terminal. Your rider bib acts as your pass on the ferry. If you select Edmonds as your start line, you will have your ferry fare included in their registration fee. The route is marked with navigational markings on the road surface. Printed cue sheets are available at the start line tents. We encourage you to wait until the day before the event to download these maps to your preferred device for easy access on the day of the event. We're excited to add a new start and finish line area in Kingston at the Kiwanis Park. We're working on updating the route slightly for 2023. This event is a fundraiser for Cascade Bicycle Club's programming in advocacy, education, and community rides, such as the Major Taylor Project, Let's Go, Your Streets Your Say, and Pedaling Relief Project. Pedal along the gorgeous Kitsap Peninsula and through some of the best riding country in the state! Friendly communities, delicious bakeries, and terrific fall scenery make this a fun, annual must-do event. It's the last major ride of the Cascade season, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you! We present the 29th annual Kitsap Color Classic, our season finale. The fall morning air is crisp and the leaves are turning shades of gold, amber-orange, and scarlet. Registration closes September 21 at 11:59 p.m. Register after September 12 and your rider packet will be available for pickup at the start line you designated. Save $10 and register by September 12 and we'll mail your rider packet to you. There is no registration available at either start line. Registration is available only online and in advance.
